Razpis DLUD za MEDNARODNI BIENALE LIKOVNE VIZIJE, ETIKE(TE) – STRAH 2019
Društvo likovnih umetnikov Novo mesto po dveh mednarodnih projektih znova organizira projekt, posvečen sodobni likovni umetnosti, tokrat MEDNARODNI BIENALE LIKOVNE VIZIJE, ETIKE(TE) – STRAH 2019.

The Association of Visual Artists Novo mesto, after two international projects, is again organizing a project dedicated to contemporary fi ne arts, this time INTERNATIONAL BIENNIAL OF ARTISTIC VISION , ETIKE(TE) – FEAR/STRAH 2019.
The project where the authors will explore and study artworks on the topic of FEAR is biennial and this year will be partly dedicated to the currently dominant existential content that tackles the most pressing issues – migration. These feelings, coupled by the common denominator ‘fear’, completely dispel all other important issues and problems from the public’s attention. Therefore, artists, together with other stakeholders and actors of social processes, must raise awareness and alert, while offering positive existential models of living and solutions for the burning global problem.
On the other hand, we will extend the project to other areas of FEAR, which is an important and present factor in everyday life of a common person. There are few emotions as fear that have such an effect on our actions, behavior and well-being [1]. It is the basic survival mechanism that is triggered in response to certain stimuli, such as pain or danger. It is the ability to recognize the danger and lead to the need to face the danger or run out of it. Of course, fear is an emotion that is innate. Fear is an emotional basis of worry, anxiety, which is a common denominator of all emotional and mood disorders and is also an integral part of the fundamental personality dimension.
The study-based biennial exhibition will shake our moral principles, political and religious aspirations, and, last but not least, remind us of the ecological and environmental dead ends
with te human relationship towards nature and other people.
This year’s INTERNATIONAL BIENNIAL OF ARTISTIC VISION , ETIKE(TE) – FEAR/STRAH 2019 was created by Dr. Ines Vodopivec, collaboratively organized with curator Olgo Butinar Čeh, all members of DLUD.
European authors of all types of fine visual arts who are academically educated can apply, or have proven their high level of creativity with their work so far.
